Tomorrow will be the last day of this year, marking the end of the journey that started nearly 365 days ago. There were ups and downs of 2014, just like any other years. There were challenges that I managed to overcome and challenges that I will have to carry forward into 2015. Not everything that I planned for 2014 managed to be materialised.
In overall, the year 2014 has been an interesting year for me. The official formation of AirVenture Paragliders, my new consulting job at Leaderonomics and my involvements in the development of 2 most popular new paragliding sites – Kuala Kubu Bharu and Gunung Jerai.
It is also the year that I will remember vividly as it’s the time when I was contracted with a nasty dengue fever. I really thought that I was going to die from that fever, the muscle pain and migraine was unbearable. The things that comforts me throughout the ordeal and gives me some mental strength to carry on was the unconditional care and support given by my wife and kids.
There are other memorable things that happened in 2014 that’s worth a special place in my mind too, which they will remain so for a long time to come. Some things were the ups and some were the downs, but even the downs were worth to be remembered nonetheless.
As a closure, I would like to wish for a better year in 2015 and I hope that it will be filled with more memorable moments and adventures. I have to learn taking things as positively as possible, everything happens for a reason and only God Almighty knows the details. So, I’ll take the coming days of 2015 as it comes… one thing at a time and seize whatever opportunities that may be of the moments.
Having said that, my motto for the coming year would be Carpe diem!
