After a long hiatus from flying (well not thaat long, only about 2 months), I went back to Pulau Indah to see if I still have it. A little awkward initially, suddenly everything felt so heavy and not as easy as it used to be.
Ground kiting was easy as always but gearing up the motor and trying to do reverse launch, it took me a while to get the hang of it again. The wind was light at times and a bit unstable when the wind starts to pick up, but still manageable. I had to do forward launch for this flight.
Taking off was difficult because I was already tired by the time it was all ready to fly, couldn’t really run and pull the wing. The engine for some weird reason wasn’t helping much either (only later after I landed to find out that the carburetor lever was stuck and it was only delivering 3/4 of the thrust power). I managed to fly anyway but not without much difficulties, I was gliding above the swamp area with my feet sweeping through the tall grass and only managed to take-off before I hit the trees.
In the air, it was quite bumpy at 300ft so I climbed to about 1000ft and cruised around for almost an hour before deciding to land. Landing was smooth as always *phew*.
