It has been a while since I taught anyone photography, officially that is. But for the next three days I will be assisting a friend conducting a photography workshop, sharing my knowhow in handling DSLR camera, reading the exposures and hands-on field guide in taking outdoor photographs. Maybe, if allowed, I could even take a few shots for my own personal collection.
I have to use the Canon 7D for this assignment, since it’s an all-Canon 7D workshop. Well, the 7D although undisputedly a good DSLR for most purposes, it’s not my personal choice of camera body… my favorite remains the 5D MkII or MkIII if I could ever afford it, and the overall champion – the Canon 6D :-)
However, for this particular assignment, throw me any camera and I think I’ll do just fine. It’s just pure technical photography equipment assignment and not the usual photo-hunt type of assignment so the “artistic” side of me will be suppressed a little :-)
